What is the DC HUG MOB?
  • A Flash Mob of "Free Hugs"

When is it?
  • Saturday, October 11th from 12 Noon to 1 p.m.
  • A group photo of those who want to be in it will be taken right at 12 Noon 

Where is the fun?
  • The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial (probably the area leading up to the monument, since it is part of the National Park System)-look for the Free Hugs signs!

Who is participating?
  • Anyone who wants!  We hope that it will be you, your family and friends! Organize your friends to show up and share the love.  

What will we do?
  • Pick up a "Free Hugs" sign from Lee Ann Hopkins or another Hooray Daily helper-hugger!
  • Get a picture of you and your Free Hugs sign, which will be emailed to you (if you want a little memory of the event...it's our way of saying THANK YOU!)
  • Then hug whoever wants a free hug at the entrance to the MLK, Jr. Memorial. We'll need to spread out so we can all get a few hugs.  You never know what kind of impact you can have with this simple gesture. Good feelings are contagious!
  • We'll return our "Free Hugs" signs so they may be used again for the 4th DC Hug Mob!
  • Enjoy the DC sites!  Be a tourist!
