I speak, teach, preach and write to and for myself. Maybe that seems strange. Maybe that seems arrogant. I am after all, a teacher, so you might think that I should have something new to offer, something you may not know. But the fact of the matter, is that I am extraordinarily ordinary. My life is probably more similar to yours than you realize. We are one in all honesty. So, I write to myself. And yes, I cheer lead, motivate and inspire for myself. Heck, my autobiography IS a pep talk and my pep talks are autobiographical! I need the cheering as much as anyone else, hence the birth of this blog and website.
So you'll find in the course of this blog's life, much of my life. I put into the words and thoughts, all the experiences I've had, which include everything from reading Alice in Wonderland under the bed covers of my childhood home to running the Boston Marathon before my fortieth birthday. You'll also find that my many lives as researcher, psychologist, advocate, executive director, attorney, clergywoman and factory worker conspire here. Everything (all of me) lands on the page.
Because there is nothing new under the sun and nothing that we haven't shared in this lifetime, I hope that you will find cheer that is both familiar and a bit tilted...tilted toward the chirpy and the positive...The stuff of which great lives are created.
Let the pep talks begin!
